Today’s poem is by Heid E. Erdrich. This collection deals heavily with sacred spaces, objects, and artifacts and how they are neglected, exploited, but sometimes recovered. My favorite poem from this collection is actually “Guidelines for the Treatment of Sacred Objects,” but it is too long and violates the rules I set out for this project.
