he might not have known or understood what he was doing was wrong (even though with all of the backlash from other idols that have done blackface in the past he should have had an idea), but the fact is that he was wrong

ignorance doesn't excuse him, jsut like saying 'i didnt know i couldnt shoot that guy in the face' wont excuse me from getting put in jail for shooting that guy in the face

the 'its jsut a cosplay' excuse is complete bullshit and up there on the offensive list because saying that blackface is cosplay is saying that race(culture, tradition, etc etc etc) is jsut a silly costume that you can put on. like you know those "mexican" halloween costumes that are jsut a sombrero, poncho, and maracas and are really fucked up? blackface is in the same vein as that

'he wasnt trying to offend anyone!' yeah okay see racism isnt something you always do consciously. it not always making racist comments or jokes. you dont have to try to be racist to be racist. what yeye needs to do is realize that what he did was racist and apologize for it.
