This is what the bug looks like:

When you make a new spellcaster sim (adult) in CAS, the eyes show up just fine. When you roll up a kid with one spellcaster and one normal sim parent (thereby giving the child the Weak Bloodline trait), the eyes bug out (sometimes you have to randomize the kid a couple of times for it to happen, I think it might be tied to a particular hidden trait they can inherit or something?)… they go to a default EA light brown with no option at all to change the eye colour. The bug happens in CAS and in game for me.

I’m having this issue with a teenage sim in game; funny though, her eyes worked fine as a child… 🤔 But as you can see above, it affects child sims too.

The problem sticks around if you age the sim up, so it affects adults/elders too:

Anyway! I’ve tried a few things:

Followed this tutorial to make sure the Spellcaster aka. “occult_witch” tag is enabled for all swatches of my default eyes (it is)

Tried this fix using an occult eye unlocker mod; didn’t fix it.

Ran the .package through Cmar’s Defaults Fixer 3.0; didn’t fix it.

I repaired my game a couple of days ago for Sims Sessions; this bug happened immediately after that.

I’ve removed my entire mods folder and *only* put back the eye default package, and I still have the issue; so it must be the default eye package causing the problem (the bug doesn’t happen if I have zero mods/default eyes at all).

Deleted my localthumbcache.package file; didn’t fix it

I’ve tried so hard to be thorough. It must be something to do with the default replacement package itself. Does anyone have any other ideas how I can fix this?
