Sat apart from the festivities Valeriu simply watched the swaths of soignée nobility, dining and dancing and enjoying the cool autumnal night. The wine quickly ran dry, and more glasses came in on platters, one carrying a familiar floral scent that Valeriu immediately placed. He stood, and followed the scent until he came to where the platter rested. He took a glass, swirled the faintly violet liquid, and sure enough, it was wisteria wine, a nearly poisonous, slightly hallucinogenic Unseelie delight. iridescent sheen and all.

He scrunched his eyebrows together. How did they manage to get their hands on this? Here? Amusing, but also slightly concerning. Obviously someone was up to no good.

A stranger's hand reached forward for a glass, and without thinking, Valeriu reached back, stopping them in their tracks.

growing  uncomfortable  with  the  steel  cuffs  keeping  both  hands  bound  behind  his  back,  cloud’s  piercing  gaze  fleetingly  scurries  along  whilst  his  body  shifts  to  find  a  better  spot.  there,  sitting  across  him,  nestled  in  the  vehicle’s  darkest  corner;  the  second  captor,  his  only  reliable  source  of  communication.  ❝   hey. . .  ❞  cloud  calls  out,  barely  a  discernable  murmur  beneath  the  roaring  engine.

❝    can  you  hear  me?  ❞  curiosity  got  the  best  of  him.  they  both  do  not  belong  here,  inside  this  futuristic  van  and  blue  neon  lights.
