Competition season!
Well, apart from photo shoots, keg party and pregnancy scares - summer is otherwise just competing, competing, competing. We travel to all these fantastic places but we hardly get to see them. Usually we manage one night out to at least try some local food but otherwise it's just the motel and the pool, over and over and over again.
I love it, but it's frustrating that I never get further than second place!

Training Season
Now, we find ourselves spending our days at the outdoor pool. We practice our technique, exercise to build strength and just spend hours in the water.

The wedding ceremony is warm and intimate. It starts with a tea ceremony where the brides offer tea to Saavik (Maid of Honour), Hee's mother Mei (ring bearer) and father Tao (officiant). The walk down the aisle starts with Tae-Joon as flower pal blessing the path.
Afterwards they eat, cut the cake and dance. The children play hide and seek while the adults enjoy the party. The invited guests were, apart from Saavik and Dante, Aurelio Esposito, Ryou Jang Gok with wife Kiera Tilo and childhood friends of Hee's with their children.

So I get to meet my team - and see my new home!
I live with Lucia, we share an apartment in a house with our team members. Turns out, to my great dissatisfaction, that they have added James Lupu to the team! Uuuugh.
Sure, I know he is good but I just really hate him. Didn't kick his ass (literally) in high school because I liked him.
But the others seem cool. Our team captain (Ryou) doesn't live here, he lives in his own house here in Tartosa. We'll see him one practice properly start after the new year's weekend. And that's when I'll see more of Dante too. He'll be in charge of my sponsors and make sure I get good contracts. Nadine says she has him too as her agent and she thinks he's great.
Me and James are the youngest ones here. The others are over 25, and the team captain and Dante is almost 30!
Daily routine (and a chance!)
Everyday is mostly the same. We practice, we prepare and we rest. Rinse and repeat! We go over our latest results, see what our opponents are up to and we make sure to get better.
But eventually I felt that I really want to get out and compete again. I know I'm not really there yet, but I think that being out competing gives me that extra push. Luckily, Ryou agreed and now I'm off to Willow Creek!

Saavik's Bachelorette Party!
Everyone has a great time, Traci knows that all parties need a good game of beer-pong, Shelby tells everyone that she's pregnant, Saavik has of course brought sparklers (as she couldn't bring fireworks) and since it's her bachelorette party they all have to go swimming before the sun begin to rise!
