Okay, I wasn’t that fond of Senran Kagura being added to BBTAG due to the clashing tones.
But, after looking into it a bit, looking past the fan service it does have some interesting ideas.
Specifically, the interesting moral dilemma with the “Good” and “Evil” Ninjas.
The Homura Crimson Squad are more anti-heroes now, and they don’t affiliate with Hebijo. But Hebijo openly says they are evil, and yet lots of them are still buddies with the other factions (Hanzo, Crimson, and Gessen).
These other franchises have their more chaotic goods guys or maybe one or two chaotic Neutral characters (Adachi and Sho from Arena come to mind). But Hebijo is either allies or enemies depending on the situation. They jump back and forth across the line.
We all love crossover events, especially me, and I had an interesting (to me at least) idea that involves Hebijo and RWBY (the world/franchise not the team):
Say the Hebijo team (Rin/Suzune, Miyabi, Murasaki, Imu, Ryōbi, and Ryōna) are visiting Beacon (a lot of stuff I see just has everyone world hopping with no explanation but fuck it) and they end up getting called up to Ozpin’s office by Glynda. Why? I don’t know I’m fairly certain it’s easy to think of a reason just with Ryōbi (sadist) and Ryōna (sadomasochist with more emphasis on masochist) there. Maybe they went too hard on a guy in a training match, maybe kept fighting even after his/her aura was in the red.
Ozpin gives them the expected junk, "you are guests at this academy so please respect our students" to which Suzune/Rin, who is visiting with the students to scope out how this world’s warriors train, gives him some anime speech about how these defenders of this world are weak and undisciplined. This, of course, coming from the teacher at the school where torture is considered training. This leads to an argument of, are the Shinobi teachers in their world too harsh on their students (staying underwater for 300 fucking hours!), who are in fact still children and are being treated like weapons, or are the Grimm all pansies compared to the dangers of the Youma? Considering one big thing that a former Kagura, Shinobi trained exclusively to fight these demons, said to all the teams is that you may have to choose between killing the Youma or saving a friend, it would be a difficult subject.
This is the kind of shit I like crossovers for: the clashing tones make for the possibility of interesting moral and psychological discussions between the cast members.
Imu
It’s Joke !!
Mari is a beautiful Hebijo girl.
I’m not sorry about this !!
