Sir Charlie Chaplin (Knight Commander) is arguably the best physical comedian to ever grace the silver screen. His antics and pratfalls have set a standard that has rarely even been approached, less matched (with the possible exceptions of Buster Keaton and Rown Atkinson who has given us the best modern version in his Mr. Bean character). Charlie Chaplin's famous character, The Tramp, is a loveable little idiot who is just as often the butt of his own jokes as he is the foil to others. Bless his heart, he has given us so much. His creative genius is a stellar example of the kind of work that artificial intelligence could never possibly create, as it only copies and produces derrivatives of human output. Mind you, I am not against technology, for without the technology of film, and later video, his work could not have been preserved for the loving consumption of future generations. His work has also given me the best possible footage with which to feature my song "Dumb". In this video, I have cut the best physical comedy from two of his early movies, Triple Trouble and His Historic Past. I have edited out any acts of v1olence to others as a personal choice and to make a family friendly video.
