So this week is the week leading up to the soft launch of echo Kraken Studios, which I have mentioned previously this week. Part of the week leading up we were doing introductions. If you guys haven’t guessed the portraits I have been working on have been my co-founder’s photos!

Thus today is the day that we introduce me!

Heavy Bangs | All The Girls

Happy #Tunesday! This week I'm super excited to feature music from one of our Kickstarter Contributors, Ramsey Beyer (everydaypants)!

This short-lived band features an intense line-up of talented human beings (seriously, google them)! -- Born out of a DIYPHL project called First Time’s The Charm, a one-night show "made up of all brand-new bands that foregrounds the contributions of female-identified, trans* and queer folks and people of color to the DIY/punk community in Philadelphia," Heavy Bangs (heavybangsband) only recorded two demo songs before disbanding (sorta), but these two gems are well worth adding to your collection.

Band: Heavy Bangs

Band Location: Philadelphia, PA

Why we like it: Ever go on Bandcamp and just click on bands randomly and end up finding something you absolutely love? And then do you ever look at their location and think, "Wow! They're from there?! I'm surprised I haven't heard of them yet!" And then do you look at the lineup and actually say out loud, "WHAT!" because the lineup includes a member of Radiator Hospital and the fantastic comic artist behind Everydaypants? No? Am I alone?

Heavy Bangs released their demo in October and have since played with Waxahatchee, All Dogs, Noun, and Parasol. If you are a fan of any of those bands I suggest giving them a listen. Being a fan of all of those bands, I'm kicking myself for not listening to them sooner. With only having heard their Demo, I am anxiously awaiting what they have in store for us.
