i have been trying to figure out the thought process behind this for, i kid you not, half an afternoon. i just cannot comprehend it. this goes completely against everything that fandom is about, in my opinion??

like. if someone's blog popped up on my recommended, and they said something i don't like or agree with, i would simply scroll out of their blog and go on with my life. no harm no foul. the point of the recommended feature is to show you blogs you could like. obviously the algorithm isn't always going to be 100% right. but one thing you do NOT have to do is go out of your way to invalidate that blog's opinions just because they don't align perfectly with yours.

ALSO! this is tumblr dot com - why on the actual earth would you come here and expect perfect reasoning and a total lack of hypocrisy and contradiction? tumblr is insane. it's tumblr! if you want me to be reasonable and non-contradictory, then might i point you in the direction of my doctoral thesis instead of my tumblr blog? honestly.
