I am CONVINCED they would've AT LEAST had romantic feelings canonized if Rescue Bots had gotten a fifth season 🙏🙏🙏

Bro . When I was drawing it, i was thinking about this dinamic between Heatwave and Quickshadow. I absolutely love them , and i have so many fanarts of them that i would not remember .

Quickshadow realy surprised me in her episodes because of her beautyful design.

Figured I’d share my stance :]

Getting together: 

—Took a while for them to get together, at least officially. They wouldn’t let anyone know about their relationship until it was too obvious

—Quickshadow at first wasn’t flirting with Heatwave with serious intentions, though her first impressions of him didn’t dissuade her from teasing him (lmao watch S4E7). Over time she began legitimately flirting with him, and she herself didn’t realize when exactly that point was

—On Heatwave’s side, he thought she was JUST teasing him for the longest time and has gotten confused over it many times. I am convinced he could not recognize flirting for the life of him and didn’t read her correctly till he too caught feelings

—They both got the vibe form each other that they each could be trusted to handle serious stuff and that’s what led them to start hanging out more

—Speaking of trust... We all know Quickshadow does not trust easily. She gets surprised by how trustworthy a bot Heatwave is and for a small period she gets paranoid, then eases off

—Heatwave does get around to reading her and that’s where the potential for vulnerability scenarios kicks off

—In a more mature show, I can see Quickshadow eventually letting Heatwave join her on a mission and they beat up a Decepticon together or something ✨ Cute couple activities y’know?

—The mutual respect they have really draws them both in, before realizing it’s not just respect, it’s admiration. Not just for abilities, but for personality too. Heatwave thinks Quickshadow’s competency is refreshing and her making trust-exceptions for him cute. Quickshadow finds Heatwave’s protectiveness very endearing and his strong caring attitude attractive.

Established relationship:

—At first their still curt, but it doesn’t take long to find out that THEY ARE TOUCH-STARVED

—It’s not too bad with Heatwave, he gets a lot of love from his team but never particularly liked it. He eventually finds that he likes being cuddly with Quickshadow (he spent way too long trying to hide this from Kade) and is at first embarrassed by it and it takes time to just accept it and does now he does out in the open (Anyone who judges is getting angrily glared at) 

—And Quickshadow? You can’t convince me this agent isn’t insanely touch-starved and doesn’t know it. She thinks that a side-hug from Optimus is a tad bit much. Once Heatwave starts being touchy with her she defaults to teasing him about it but on the inside she’s having a system error. It’s filling an unknown void and she grows to reciprocate :]

—Anyways yeah when their alone they cuddle a lot, which sometimes doesn’t end up being that much cause of their jobs, which just makes them more likely to spend their free time with each other

—They both get terrible relationship advice from Kade and Dani and the resulting shenanigans could be episode-worthy, but it’s also just as likely they ignore the ‘advice’ and wing it

—Probably some awkward moments but realizing their love for one another is all it takes to make it a good, healthy relationship

—Quickshadow spends a lot more time on Griffon Rock now, and Heatwave starts taking the ‘solo’ out of her missions

—Prior to their relationship they trained and sparred together a bunch and now that they’re in one they lowkey start flirting with each other throughout. It somehow makes them better at fighting though? No one has figured out how this works BUT IT DOES and this is kind of unrelated but I think it would be funny if they team up on Hightide and take him down (Also unrelated but I love Hightide ya’ll and I need to post about him✨)

—Heatwave is way more protective over Quickshadow now, but can see when it gets ridiculous. She isn’t as annoyed by it as she thought she would be

—Quickshadow still flirts with him like they’re not together but now Heatwave will flirt back and she is so proud

—They don’t have a huge ceremony or anything when their conjunxed, much to Blade’s disappointment (he wanted to plan it), just something simple

About Hotshot:

—A lot of people headcanon Hotshot as their son and honestly I’ve taken a liking to it! It’s adorable! ⭐️

—One problem! I don’t care for the ‘transformers can reproduce’ headcanon. I’m neutral towards it, and sometimes it’s really cute, but also occasionally the words carrier/sire rub me the wrong way. I know it’s not that serious but I think Mom/Dad are way cuter and less… objectifying…? Not hating, just not my go-to.

—And that leads me back into my headcanon! Heatwave grows close to Hotshot and he and Quickshadow eventually take him in and adopt him

—Not just like, taking him under their wing or in any Cybertronian tradition, but like full-on embracing the human way of adoption and raising a child

—That’s their son!

—He just wasn’t always at first!

—I also like this cause I love Transformers taking on human traditions and think the Rescue Bots are the perfect bots to do so!

—Anyways Heatwave/Quickshadow are far into their relationship when they do this and they make great parents ❤️

—I also have some ideas of them adopting a bot fresh from the Well of All Sparks and fully raising them and I could definitely make an OC on the concept 

Anyways this is basically just a thought dump of what’s in my mind at the moment. Not sure if any of this is fanfic material.
