Elliott Smith āElliott Smithā Special Edition 199/2020
Hello old friend! I havenāt broken out the Elliott Smith albums in a whileā¦ spurred on by the reissue of the third Heatmiser album āMic City Sonsā (excellent, you must buy) and possibly my impending trip to the Rose City at the end of the month I pulled the almost to nice to play special edition of his self titled second album. My go to Elliott album is XO but this one is sweet too. The added second disc (pictured) of an early live show is a sweet treat but the real treasure is book built into the cover of JJ Gonsonās photos of Elliott. I hadnāt looked at it for awhile and it was striking to me how many of the people in his story Iāve met.
All in all a perfect reissue of a nearly perfect album. Done with lots of loveā¦
