Tell us a bit about yourself! My name is Cheyenne, though I tend to go by “Hero” online,  and I’m a 21 year old freelance artist. I’m usually pretty quiet unless you try to talk to me about fandoms, or my ocs, then I might never stop talking. One day I hope to become an animator or a concept artist, but as long as I get to draw I’m happy!

When did you get into the fandom and how did you stumble upon it? Literally right at the start, from the comic attached to the original text post, lol. It just made it’s way around my dash, but I think I started following Orange right after she started uploading the first few comics.

Who are your favorite characters/pairings? Zadkiel is my favorite character (I’m weak to the villains with a soft spot *sobs*), but my favorite pairing by far is Natan! It’s my favorite ship dynamic, and if I’m being honest I was rooting for it from the very first pages of the comic because I'm shipping trash…….

Favorite moment in the comic? Is it too predictable to say “Run”? I’m not gonna say Run. Let’s go with Natalie using her contract to silence Hell- who would have thought Satan could smile that much!! It’s too cute, even if you just know everything's gonna go straight to hell afterwards. (Pun totally intended)

What is your biggest inspiration as far as your art goes? When I was younger and still in the stages of really learning how to art I took a lot of inspiration from manga artists, namely CLAMP and Katsura Hoshino. Honestly I still take a lot of inspiration from my favorite artists, seeing all the amazing stuff artists can do definitely makes me want to work on my own art, but music also plays a big part now- I can’t even tell you how many of my drawings and characters came from songs.

What would you say is your favorite piece that you’ve done so far? If we’re talking about just SAM art I’m pretty fond of my “Run” animation, but in general there’s also a candy guro picture of an oc I drew not long ago that I love to bits lol.

What would you say is one of your favorite things to draw? I love drawing characters, and some of my favorite stuff to get commissioned for is character design work. Colorful characters are definitely the best <3

What do you think influences your art style? Other artists, most definitely. It's not really any specific artists now days, but if I see an art style I really love I’ll probably end up taking away some inspiration from my favorite parts and try to incorporate it into my own style.

What are some of your hobbies you enjoy? Gaming, cosplaying, roleplaying and video editing are some of my favorite things to do that aren’t art related.

Before joining SaM, what was a fandom you were part of and are there any fandoms you’re into outside of SaM? I’m a big ol’ fandom hopper, so there was a bunch of stuff I was into before SaM, but the only two I can tell you for sure were probably Hetalia and the Kagepro fandom. Right now along with SaM I’m pretty much into Fire Emblem, Dragon Age, Kagepro, and RWBY. Is there anything else you’d like the fandom to know about you or anything you’d like to say to the fandom as a whole? This fandom is awesome, it’s definitely the chillest fandom I’ve ever been a part of and I really appreciate that! Other fandoms have so much drama going on in them that it’s hard to even want to associate yourself with them sometimes, but the SaM fandom actually feels like a little family.  I’m proud to be a part of this little community!
