It’s not that she’s following her, no matter how Chirithy likes to tease.  It’s not like that.  It’s just that --- they often end up in the same places.  And why shouldn’t they?  They’re both wielders, after all.

       To say Niko was intrigued was an understatement. Wide pink eyes fixated on the girl’s green hair with wonder. He had never seen such a shade before! How pretty! 

OH MY. THIS WAS                    unexpected. lips parted in muted surprise, golden orbs glowing ever so slightly ; lauriam was asking her on a date. (  internally, she had been expecting something more extravagant, with flowers  &.  perhaps even a serenade. not that she wanted one  ). this wasn’t the lauriam that was normally portrayed, the smooth (  ish  )talker who showered people with flowers  &.  sweet words. this was the same boy she saw fall into the fountain, who stumbled his words  &.  blushed a sweet red when embarrassed.

this was the lauriam that she liked.

cheeks were flushed a delicate red, silent just for a moment as she thought about her answer. it was an obvious one really but watching him squirm was fun. he truly was adorable. a date with lauriam huh ? lips quirked into a soft smile, head tilting slightly to look up at him ; oh, he wasn’t even meeting her gaze. ❝  sure. i’d be happy to go on a date with you, lauriam.  ❞

   IF LAURIAM WAS going to be honest with himself, he did not think at all that Anya would agree. I mean, they were friends! Friends who teased each other, and would hang out all the time (regardless of Union) and sometimes she’d kiss his cheek and-- OH!! This was too embarrassing for him! His face was absolutely red, matching his pink hair, maybe even darker to match a red rose. The poor child couldn’t even meet her gaze because he was too embarrassed. 

   “Y-You would?” Finally he met her gaze. Blinking at her. The gold in her eyes shimmering making Lauriam get even softer. His gut was doing a twirl. “I mean-- Great!” He perked up like a plant getting some water, still red, his body slightly shaking from nerves. “That’s... great!” He knew a spot, he knew several, but to where? He seriously didn’t think he’d get this far. Should he take her out for lunch? The beach? Oh, perhaps one of the local museums! But that would be awkward. Maybe a fair? Oh, maybe the clocktower! He knew a nice place! But what if that was too many stairs. Pick someplace!!!!
