you can really only avoid something in new york for so long.  as big as the city was , youâd run into anything you were avoiding if you werenât careful.  itâs not that gabriel didnât miss his siblings sometimes but the idea of seeing his family as a whole didnât exactly excite him considering how he left.  for the few years heâd been back heâd managed keeping his head down from any novaks but his luck was coming to an end .  he shoulder clips someone on the way to samâs office and faint recognition holds him from apologizing at first.  he has to pause, squint, think.  the last gabriel had seen his brother they were teens but thereâs always been something distinct about that blue eyed stare.
