Convicted Murderer and FIDESZ HQ Protector Cleared of All Charges
Recently Ferenc Sz., the convicted murderer associated with a FIDEZ-affiliated football club, who showed up at the FIDESZ HQ occupation as an "unofficial" security guard and assaulted the protesters was cleared of all charges.
As a reminder, earlier this year, a few dozen activists did a sit-in at the FIDESZ headquarters in Budapest. The peaceful protesters were assaulted by unnamed people and verbally abused by FIDESZ-loyalist pensioners who were called onto the scene. While the people working in the building claimed to be terrified, they never called the police or sought any kind of help from the authorities.
According to the court documents, the people inside the HQ were scared of the peaceful sit-in, called security guards and "people who seem to be security guards". Ferenc Sz. is apparently a FIDESZ activist, who, alongside the other thugs were not assaulting, but protecting the protesters who were in a hazardous part of the courtyard.
The court documents also claim that the protesters "broke down" the doors of the building, which is just not true. The investigation into the protesters' actions is still ongoing.
And people doubted that the justice system would lose its impartiality after the complete FIDESZ takeover.
