(👑) I don’t think Simba, as king, would send Kopa into exile when he grows up; he’d want to keep his son around if he wanted to stay in the pride as an adult.
He wouldn’t by any means force him to stay, but if it were up to Simba himself, he’d have Kopa remain with his family.
For those who may be unaware, male lions leave their birth pride upon reaching adulthood to start their own prides.
If Kopa did decide to leave, it would be a very difficult departure for his father, because he knows how dangerous the savanna can be to rogue lions- let alone ones with little fighting experience and, possibly, hunting.
He would, at the very least, hope that Kopa would come to visit on occasion. Simba would always warmly welcome him… and probably ask a lot of questions about how the solo life would be treating him.
