Even though Darren is older than Isabelle, Isabelle often finds herself mothering over Darren. Not because he's incapable of taking care of himself. But simply because he's the unhandy one. He's the awkward, slightly dorky one. Which is exactly why he's nicknamed Giraffe. He's gangly, being awkwardly tall and skinny. He sometimes finds himself being slightly clumsy as a result. He's less confident and as a result, Isabelle finds herself interfering with his social life as well as his social life. Just to make sure he isn't letting his crush just walk by him without noticing him, or even let his crush think he doesn't return the feelings because he doesn't have the guts to tell them. But in other ways, he's a typical older brother. He teases her, is extremely protective over her and always makes an emphasis on how she's smaller and younger.
