There was a group briefing before training on August 10th, 2026 for GIRLNEXTDOOR MEMBERS to meet with their managers and staff. PART 2/3!
*Starting 4Q, HYDRA Labels will separate the schedules and management of VARSITY and GIRLNEXTDOOR (gender specific teams assigned). HYDRA Labels will also begin renegotiating the original two year contract agreements, offering members the opportunity to extend their contracts by an additional five years. The revised agreements introduces artist benefits; including royalty participation, creative involvement, long-term career development support, independent management services for personal activities, and additional provisions (housing, travel, food, etc.).*
Following the completion of training for their Japanese promotions in Tokyo, GIRLNEXTDOOR's new head management has elected to postpone the official release until late Autumn or early Winter after ASTRID "BARBIE" CHOI decision to step away from the idol industry. GIRLNEXTDOOR will spend the remainder of the summer training for their Korean (Full Album?) comeback in Seoul while focusing on large-scale live appearances. Since GND is rotational, there will be a brief statement from the company. Below is the main song the girls will start rehearsing, more songs & official line distribution will be added later:

SUMMER FESTIVAL SCHEDULE: the girls will be performing at SEOUL WORLD CUP STADIUM, WATERBOMB FESTIVAL, KCON LA, SBS GAYO DAEJEON SUMMER, KOREA UNIVERSITY & YONSEI UNIVERSITY AUTUMN FESTIVALS, REGIONAL UNIVERSITY FESTIVALS (Daegu, Busan, Dejeon, Gwangju) domestically. Overseas, the schedule is jam-packed with appearances in LOLLAPALOOZA (Chicago), GOVERNOR'S BALL (New York, US), HEAD IN THE CLOUDS (California, US). For BARBIE's past parts, BOHYUN will cover them. Expect long flights (some first class, one private), airport appearances and possible jet-lag. On the plus side! The girls will get to start their festival/tour era with top of the line microphones and in-ear monitors they'll get to personally customize.
SETLIST: ATTENTION, TICK TACK, HYPE BOY, LUCKY GIRL, FOCUS, THE CHASE, RUDE!, ATTITUDE, BLACKPINK Cover Special Stage (CHAEYEON & BOHYUN + MEOVV & IZNA members), 'Level Up' Special Stage (MIRU & NAIMEI + IZNA members), special dance breaks and unit breaks may occasionally be incorporated.
AWARD SCHEDULE: Between August-September, there will be few red-carpet appearances. They will perform at THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS in September and win ARTIST OF THE YEAR (DAESANG), RECORD OF THE YEAR (DAESANG), MUSE OF THE YEAR (DAESANG), & ROOKIE OF THE YEAR + OTHER FAN-VOTED CATEGORIES.
CONTENT SCHEDULE: GIRLNEXTDOOR will take part in a small selection of projects to showcase the members' personalities. The group will make a high-profile daytime talk-show appearance in the United States (THE JENNIFER HUSON SHOW) which will be just a fun interview; MINAH (native English speaker) will take lead . They will also release a special YouTube episode, "GYARU GIRLNEXTDOOR (1, 2) ," where the members spend their last day in Tokyo transforming themselves into gyaru styles, going out at night, and then final photoshoot for POPTEEN cover.
Additionally, HYDRA Labels has expanded its partnership with Netflix. In collaboration with Netflix, NAVER WEBTOON, and Wattpad, the company will develop original multimedia spanning animated series, digital comics, web novels, and original soundtracks. The project represents HYDRA's first entry into original franchise beyond music. GIRLNEXTDOOR has been selected as the first artist under this partnership to headline an animated franchise. The series will follow 7 ordinary high school girls attending a prestigious Korean academy whose lives as witches, or "magical girls," force them to balance everyday student life with supernatural responsibilities. The project is being designed as a multimedia release, with the animated series on Netflix, official comicbook via NAVER WEBTOON, and Wattpad web novel to give fans exclusive POVs and additional content.
Each of the 7 main protagonists will be directly inspired by a member of GIRLNEXTDOOR. Professional international voice actors will portray the animated cast; however, GIRLNEXTDOOR will perform all original music created for the franchise. The project is expected to launch as a long-term project in 2027. HYDRA Labels wants this project to be capable of reaching audiences beyond the traditional K-pop market, like K-Pop Demon Hunter. Additional information will be announced later this year, close to Halloween (wink wink).
