Curiosities (Closed - T.K)
Standing at the red, towering poles of the local shrine, Laurent felt confident that this time: he’d picked somewhere people would assuredly not go to as much as the park, which he could practice with his newfound tome in and get used to the idea of performing in front of a crowd without being completely unnerved by strangers right away.
It seemed a sensible idea to take small steps first in the case of trying to get over his uncertainty in front of strangers. A quiet step in front of the shrine, then a bow to thin air. “Ladies and gentlemen - I do hope you enjoy the show of tomes I procured for you all.” Alright, so right now it was only two tomes. He’d have to get a fair few more than that for a show, but practicing to get over shyness was the more important task.
“Firstmost, is a tome of tiny rainbows! Such a small mix of colors cannot be made in any other way.” Focusing his attention on the rainbow tome, it procured, as said, a tiny rainbow, that sparkled in the sun. Once it faded, Laurent moved on. “Next, is a tome that procures tiny sparkling lights!” Moving his arm with a gentle momentum, sparkles floated through the air like falling tiny stars.
“Feel free to touch the sparkles if you would lik-” Though, the mage’s confidence faltered at hearing a strange flapping. A-ah?! H-had someone been watching the entire time? How embarrassing. He snapped his tome shut, the sparkles vanishing on the wind, and attempted to hide behind the tome as best he could to try and not look so embarrassed. Which wasn’t very effective, of course, given it was small. Though....he’d never seen a flying creature so orange before.
Yet he felt too awkward at his practice being watched to ask questions.
