SYNOPSIS:
IN A WORLD SKIRTING THE EDGES OF COLD WAR, the human race finds itself approaching the brink of extinction. Resources are low and technology is practically archaic whereas the opposing Gemisian Empire continues to accelerate and thrive, threatening to snuff out all those who are inferior. Political tensions are brittle, as war could mean the end for humanity.
Far removed from this reality, Calum spends his days making ends meet—and a little more— with the scraps he manages to ravage from the rusty bones of a long-dead civilization. But when he stumbles upon a lone, mysterious girl far from any living society, her bewildering appearance and the strange marking on her back indicate that he may have stumbled upon the trigger that could shatter the shaky illusion of peace for good.
Calum finds himself on the precipice of something much more significant than he could ever imagine and faces a choice: to return to his challenging, though stable, life where he at least knows he’d wake up tomorrow or to throw himself headfirst into a world of incredible danger that threatens to tip the scales of human survival, for better or worse.
