So back in January there was an incredible video going around called "Museum of Simulation Technology", a tech demo from a few students as a school project. The demo featured a totally new and mindblowingly awesome puzzle concept: using perception to alter the actual size of objects, and solving puzzles with this ability! Example: Say you hold a quarter up to your eye and look out at your room. It looks enormous compared to the pencils and books and various things in your space. Now imagine you let it go, and it is now sitting on your desk, the size of a frisbee, just like it seemed from the previous perspective in front of your nose. This groundbreaking and completely unheard of puzzle concept (at least I've never seen it used before in a game) brings the same mind bending, reality changing and possible game making potential that Portal's concept of instant portals between space brought. These students, now a group seemingly called Pillow Castle, are working on a game using their perspective concept, currently named The Museum of Simulation and Technology, and I'm excited to see another game that will change my life like Portal did. I hope you are too. Check out HBnBM's article on it and see the video, so you can be as insanely excited as I am about this upcoming project.
