It felt very rude to arrive without any warning, but General Ironwood had told her that rudeness could be forgiven since they didn’t have any other choice, which made sense. Besides, it would have been much ruder for someone else to come and have to bring a whole airship into Mistral without any of the proper paperwork finished!Â
Thus she arrived at a...very quiet Haven Academy alone, on what was her first diplomatic and cross kingdom mission. Now she just needed to find...
Ah!Â
"Salutations Headmaster Lionheart! I’m Penny Poledina, and General Ironwood sent me to check on you since communication is down!”Â
@havenstraitor liked for Leo StressÂ
It really was a lovely school. Beacon, of course, would always be first in his heart but...the immortal had love for all of the schools. He knew them. Intimately. Having helped design them only a lifetime ago. Another face and life and looked upon them when the plans had been made and the frames crafted, but...the same hope had been in his chest.Â
A hope for the future of humanity, so great that he’d given large chunks of his magic to each vault. That he’d tied the maidens, whom had been his last great spark of hope, to them.Â
They were a step forward. A win that offered him peace, even as his mind refused to quiet. Thus he walked the halls when he could no longer stay in his bed, pausing only when he caught sight of figure he’d thought had gone home hours ago.Â
“Leo?”Â

     ❝ It's been a while since we talked face-to-face. How have you been, Leo? Has running Haven Academy kept you busy? ❞

“I’m not so easy to fool as you may think.” Leo began gently, walking a few careful steps closer. He still stopped a safe distance away. Even on his best days Tyrian was an unpredictable menace and he wasn’t so brave as to share ten feet with the man. “I was a counselor before becoming headmaster and beside that, I can quite literally see your emotions.”
He took a distant seat, letting his tail softly swish behind him for a few moments before its settled to the ground. “You do not have to talk if you don’t want to, but I was valued by Ozpin’s team for my ability to listen. Not everyone may agree, but I think I can put that to use here as well. Call it a bad habit from an old man who’s used to worrying too much about the people around him.”

“......” He’s practicing his brave face.

If he’d been told a month ago that he’d soon be standing in Haven Academy, Oscar would have been ecstatic. Like most his age, the farmhand had grown up on stories of brave huntsman and huntresses that fought the creatures of grimm for the sake of humanity. A threat he was all too aware of, having grown up in a small farming community, where running into a grimm while doing your chores was more of a when than if.Â
However, the voice in his head and the heavy backpack hanging from his shoulders dulled his excitement. That...and that fact that he didn’t need to ask said voice how to get to Headmaster Lionheart’s office.Â
“What...do I do now?” Oscar asked, voice little more than a whisper. “We knock.” “This isn’t funny!” “It’s a little funny.” The voice- Ozpin- replied, sounding more than a little amused. “Come now. Leo’s hardly someone for you to be afraid of. Besides, if anyone catches you standing out in the hall talking to yourself, you’re just as likely to make them think you’re insane.”Â
Oscar bristled at the teasing. Mostly because he couldn’t deny it.Â
“Fine but if this doesn’t work--”Â
Oscar sighed, and after giving himself a moment to swallow down his anxiety, he lifted one gloved hand to knock on the headmaster’s door.
“I think I’m going to leave those two alone for now- and hide.”
