Amerie had been pacing back and forth on the floor in her kitchen while she eagerly waited for her friend to ring the doorbell. She had called her and told her it was an emergancy, that she needed to see her. Ever since the incident at work earlier that day, all the pieces had slowly started to fall together. Not only had the food tasted nothing like it was supposed to, though it did to her, for weeks now she had been feeling exhausted and tired, passing out on her couch even before she could finish her food on some days. At one point, she had even had a nap in her car during her lunch break. On occasion, she had also felt this overwhelming sensation of nausea if she didn't eat or snack within a shorter period of time than she had been used to. Thinking back on it now, all of it should have been a dead give away, but she had been too busy as usual to notice. With the pregnancy test laying on the counter at a ready to be done, she wanted her friend with her in case her suspicions were correct.
