Giuseppe update! ... #Repost @whitneyblanche (@get_repost) ・・・ Giuseppe had his dental surgery this week and he’s doing great! He had 1 tooth removed and a dental cleaning. His ear has drained of all fluid and is now a full on cauliflower ear. His vet debated doing surgery on it but found that there is too much scar tissue. His ear is doing great now and we think it adds character! He loves attention and he's super friendly! He crawls all over us and rolls all over the bed whenever we come into the room, but as soon as we turn out the light to go to sleep he goes under the bed and doesn't come back out until we're up in the morning. It's very unique! As you can see in the photo he has a hematoma in his ear. This means his ear has filled with blood and fluid, possibly caused by a past infection. It has been drained 4 times and keeps filling back up. He's on pain killers now to keep him comfortable and we're it begins to subside. He's got a re-check at the vet next week then we will move forward from there depending on how it's doing. He also has some rotten teeth so will be getting a dental cleaning and some extractions once he's feeling better. Giuseppe in his foster home! #Repost @whitneyblanche (@get_repost) ・・・ Introducing our newest foster kitty, Giuseppe! This picture does not do him justice, he looks black but this boy is a dark chocolate brown. He's stunning! He is 8 years old and was surrendered to animal control when his owner went into the hospital. He does have some medical stuff that needs to be dealt with before he can go up for adoption. He was nervous when he arrived and spent most of the evening hiding. When we finally got into bed he came out to explore and now he's rolling all over our bed begging for pets and cuddles! My favourite moment when fostering is when a cat who has been at a shelter in a cage for weeks comes to our home and gets into our bed for the first time. You can tell that they are so ecstatic to be in a soft warm bed and Giuseppe is no different!
