lucy and i binged blue eye samurai over like a single weekend in december 2023 and it was crazy and we loved it. i dont remember exactly when i got the idea for this video, but i started working on it on new year eve, i literally started clipping the episodes just because i needed something to do while waiting for midnight agdjf

i was so determined to finish this video i thought for sure i could do it if i kept myself on a schedule that was concrete but relaxed, i would work on it just a little bit every day, or every two days, or every week, ok maybe the schedule wasnt that concrete, but i did manage to work on it consistently for about 3 months until i finally fell off of it and didnt touch it again until november when i got a rush of motivation from the idea to make a challenge of making amvs

the song in this video is “šejn” by haustor, translation is by me =) 

if you dont already know, this song was inspired by the book “shane” by jack schaefer, in preparation for this video i actually listened to this book twice, its an old book and it shows its age in some parts, but overall i loved it. obviously this wasnt intentional but this story is kind of lowkey a polyamorous love story between shane who is a badass cowboy and this married couple who he starts working for IM NOTTT MAKING THIS SHIT UP. the movie is pretty good too but obviously they tone down the gay parts
