Orton Park is a reputedly-haunted site in the middle of Madison, Wisconsin's Williamson-Marquette neighborhood. The block the park occupies was Madison's first municipal cemetery; established in 1846 and used for 246 burials. The city started removing bodies in September 1859 to be reinterred in the new cemetery, Forest Hill. Eventually, all of the bodies were removed...or were they?
