high school winteriron + trick or treating?
Halloween is by far Tony’s favorite holiday. He loved the spooky atmosphere, the chilling air of autumn, pumpkin spice treats and drinks, all the decorations people put up, the laugher and joy of seeing children dressing up in fun costumes and going trick-or-treating. The holiday just brought so much joy in his lonely life.
This year, Tony decided to forego his tradition of binging watching Goosebumps episodes and hand out candy to the children that would stop on by. Typically, that was Jarvis’s job, but Tony insisted that he could do (“It’s for the children, Jarvis!”). Though, to be perfectly honest, the real reason why Tony wanted to pass out the candy is because his father was out of town for a business trip, and it was the only time Tony could wear the cosplay costume he bought and not get any criticism or harsh words from his dad.
Tony was going to dress up as the original Pink Power Ranger.
The moment that Tony slipped into the suit, he felt a sense of giddiness fill his soul. Before Tony even had a chance to put the helmet on, the doorbell rang. The teenager let out a small gasp, immediately rushing over to the front door, ready for the first round of trick-or-treaters.

Two hours had gone by and Tony had lost count at how many full sized candy bars he’d given out. He looked over to the stack of candy at the door and frowned when he realized he had only four left. He hoped that the next round of trick-or-treaters only had four little children, it would break his heart having to turn away someone when the others had gotten candy.
The giggling and loud “Trick-or-Treat!” brought Tony out of his mind, he grabbed the last four bars and gasped at the costume the children were wearing, they were all wearing power rangers costumes. His heart skipped a beat when he noticed the older teenager they were with was Tony’s crush, Bucky Barnes, who was dressed up in a white ranger costume.
“My, my, have I found the rest of the rangers? You’re just in time, you’re my last trick-or-treaters for the night.” Tony smiled when the children giggled and said their thanks before running back down the driveway.
“Hi, Tony,” Bucky said.
“Uh, hi,” Tony replied shyly. “Nice costumes.”
Bucky chuckled at the costume comment. “Seems like we found our missing ranger,” Bucky winked.
A flush of red hit Tony’s face. He cleared his throat. “Seems so.”
The two stood awkwardly, not quite sure what to say.
“Are they your siblings?” Tony asked out, trying his best to continue the conversation.
“Three of them are, the other is Steve’s cousin.”
Tony nodded at the response. “They seem like good kids.”
Bucky snorted, “Oh, trust me they’re not.”
The awkward silence returned.
Tony was about to say his goodbyes and shut the door when Bucky blurted something out. “Sorry? What was that?”
Bucky scratched the back of his neck, looking shyly down to his feet. “I was just wondering if you wanted to join me, uh I mean us for the rest of the night? If you want to that is,” he rambled out.
“I would love that.”
Bucky beamed at Tony’s response, he opened his mouth to reply when the screaming of children interrupted them.
“BUCKY AND TONY SITTING IN A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” The children yelled out when they noticed the two teenagers smiling like dumb fools at each other.
