There was no secret to her now that the real world held a magic of its own. Â Creatures and beasties unlike the sort that lived in Wonderland. Those were creatures that the Queen wished to have in her arsenal, and as the new Court assassin, it was the hatterâs job to lead the scouting trips with Suits â bringing those beings back to Wonderland.
She was in room getting dressed. Â Her typical heeled boots, thigh highs that stopped just under the bottom edge of her skirted jacket â a jacket that was fastened shut with silver buckles, form fitting it to the curves of her body. Â She tucked that key she wore under it all â unknowing just why she wore it. Those memories were nothing but a foggy blur.
Hearing her door open, she turned to greet the Suits. Â âThis needs to look real. Â Iâm potentially crashing into his home while he is there, and I need every part of this ruse to see real.â Â The hatterâs voice was commanding, unfaltering â cold, even. Â âThis means, I need to be beaten up before I walk through that mirror. Nothing too major, but enough to look like Iâve escaped capture.â Â She grabbed her messenger back then, slinging it across her body. Â
The next few moments were filled with the sounds of punches connecting to the hatterâs petite body, leaving her clothes disheveled, and her face bruising. Â There was more than one cut leaving blood dripping over her skin. âEnough,â she gasped, taking hold of one of the Suitâs arms to steady herself. Â âTell the Queen I will be back as soon as I can.â Â The hatter ordered, before stepping away, grabbing her fedora, placing it on her head.
Hatta stood in front of the mirror then, taking a deep breath before she ran through it â landing in a cabin with a thud. Â Before she moved, Hatta turned, kicking the mirror causing it to shatter into pieces around her.
She tried to stand up â pressing upwards with her hands, only to cut them on the broken shards of mirror. Â Her body collapsed â a choked groan of pain leaving her lips. Â There was something about pain. Â She loved it now â even more. Â Pain was one of the few things that she could feel.
