And he probably would have done so, had Thrall not made very specific wording apparent on the contract they formed. Otis is not able to directly alter or influence Thrall’s perception, cannot ‘force’ them into anything they are not willing to do, and cannot fully possess them. Thrall can always retake control at any point, should they want to.
