The interest generated around Vancouver's apparent house renaissance over the past year has been hard to ignore, with party-turned-label collective Mood Hut among its primary ambassadors. Local retailer Pacific Rhythm has championed output from Mood Hut's members first as an online supplier, and more recently as an imprint, with Cloudface and Hashman Deejay appearing on its inaugural compilation. Earlier this month, Pacific Rhythm announced it would also be opening a physical outlet (located at 441 Gore Avenue), which launched yesterday with an in-store party featuring Mood Hut fixtures Hashman Deejay,Pender Street Steppers, and Neo Image.
