Is it the title moving futures that enables this need for the examination of time? Or is time such an unbearable crushing concept that needs to be displayed and exorcised for the sake of the spectator’s and artist’s mind. Could it be just a pretext to enter a liberating environment for the mind and the body?
Time alters.
In both performances of the double bill, Haschoema and Yonder you follow bodies moving into the darkness in spaces defined by electric light. Time and space gain different qualities, and you are moved into a different plane where the concepts of time and space are manipulated by the choreographers.
You could feel for a just a moment that you were out-of-time and able to finally observe this concept. It was like you were reallocated into a different spot where time was an observable notion. You were visiting different past and presents and experiencing live their synthesis into new futures.
