Watchful eyes dot their periphery. It can be said that the smaller the town the greater the suspicion. When everyone knows everyone, a stranger is marked just as such. And they were but travelers, taking a beaten road in between countries to gather needed reagents for the Doctor's work.
Did she need to be escorted? Of course not. That wouldn't stop Diluc from having reasons to join her regardless.
"Don't concern yourself with it, Kal'tsit." Diluc comments, dismissing her concern as he forges ahead willfully ignorant of the scrutiny. "I imagine these people are thinking much the same of us. We can finish our business and be on our way." Tarrying invited more people recognizing him for who he was, after all. Though the chance was fading in probability the further they travelled from Mondstadt it did not guarantee zero.
