From Leverage, the human/assassin/soulmate AU
And this is it: the tipping point, where the scale has twisted because of what he knows. Knowing how she feels, undoubtedly. Knowing that one word could have her terminated. Knowing the secret to her past, her family, the only loved ones she has left.

I have no excuse. I wanted to write a soulmate fic and then I wanted to write an assassin fic, and then in thinking about it I realized if I wanted Kagome and Inuyasha to be competitive in the way I would write it, he’d have to be human.
And thus, the human/assassin/soulmate fic was born. That’s...really all it takes haha.
Kagome has a cherry blossom and her mother has a chrysanthemum. The flower symbolism there is a thing, and intentional :)
It is very John Wick, as I had watched the movies somewhat recently. The whole “jewel shard” as payment thing, the Sicarius hotel.
