Two random anons appear in Roo and Seraph’s apartments, respectively, and scream “HEPPY BORTHDAY” before disappearing in a puff of smoke, leaving behind cakes.
Normally, this would’ve resulted in two different disturbances in two very different towns.
...However...
The two familiars were living in the same building. In the same apartment. And in the same room. They’d been getting themselves ready to go out and have some birthday fun when the anons showed up.
Roo jumped so high he nearly got stuck to the ceiling, yowling loudly, and seraph let out a high pitched shriek in surprise. They held onto each other scooby-doo style for a moment. And then registered what had been shouted. They blinked. Glanced at each other. Chuckling sheepishly, the two familiars relaxed their grip on each other.
“E-eheheh... um... th-thanks,” Roo replied timidly to the silent room.
“Thanks indeed,” seraph sighed, shaking her head.
And that’s when they noticed what was left behind.
“... are those cakes?”
“... I do believe so.”
There was a beat of silence. The two familiars just stared at the cakes. Slowly, they glanced up at each other.
“... I’m ok to wait on goin out if yeh wanna eat these-“
“Heavens, yes! We can’t let these go to waste!!!”
