Omg! Let me think!
I definitely think it made an impression. For several reasons! First of all, no oneās seen Harry with a guy (and while thereās been talk of Cedricās on-and-offs with male classmates wasnāt he dating Cho??) More than that though, the current competitor and theĀ ācheaterā are there together and at first Iām sure everyone thinks they just arrived together but Cedricās likeĀ āno, heās my dateā and Harryās answer is generallyĀ āUm, yeahā¦weāre together. Together-together.ā
Eventually they fade from the immediate spotlight (thank you, Hermione) and both are able to loosen up. Donāt get me wrong, both are still nervousāalthough for Cedric, itās more internalābut as the night goes on they start genuinely enjoying one anotherās company. Cedricās determined to at least try shaking off this negativity surrounding Harry.
Dancing is a little awkward but donāt think for a second they avoid it all night. One of the few genuine moments between them before everything goes south. They both start to thinkĀ āmaybe this could work.ā
