Donny's dad is an Orthodontist and is the prime reason Donny has such a killer smile. What I'm saying here is that Donny had braces growing up. He absolutely hated every second of it.

Donny argues a lot but only about the absolute dumbest shit. He's not fighting with you for ghosting him, he's having a heated debate with the guy next door on whether or not frogs have asses. Like, literally, you ever picked up a frog? Nothing's THERE. Sure, they gotta shit, right? But there's NOTHING THERE. IT'S ALL HOLE MAN, NO ASS IN SIGHT! I DON'T KNOW FUCK ABOUT SCIENCE OR BIOLOGY OR FROGOLOGY BUT I SURE AS SHIT KNOW THEY AIN'T GOT NO ASS, BRUH—

THIS and also THIS, and I cannot stress this enough, is 100% how Donny talks.

Donny has been charged with a few misdemeanors for...fighting of course. He's not exactly proud of it nor does he aim to cause trouble but, uh, when you're as loud and big as him, people tend to want to test you out (which they shouldn't because Donny will straight up rearrange your face). That being said, Donny tries not to go out for a night alone very often— he'll try and bring a few friends or other, more level-headed boxer buddies with him because they can help calm him down a bit if things get tense.

Donny will eat anything he's given. Literally. He's not above taking a bet to suck down an entire ranch bottle in one sitting. You don't wanna know what Donny has done for a minimum of, like, five bucks.

Harrison knows how to play the piano! He actually taught himself later in life, feeling that it was always such a beautiful talent to have. He likes to practice still, very early in the morning right after breakfast. A little music helps with the digestion, he swears by it.

If he had to say what his cooking specialty is, he'd say ravioli. He once made them for a teacher's meeting when he first started at the high school he's currently with, hoping to impress his new colleagues...they loved it. It's sort of a delicacy at the school now. Like perhaps, if you visit at the right time, Mr. Coen will share his homemade ravioli with you...

Speaking of food, Harrison's dad was an Italian cook and taught him everything he knows! That side of his family was originally from Ostuni, Italy, and is an extremely talented family of artisans and dreamers— Harrison definitely got a lot from that side of the family!

If Harrison is a little tipsy and, for whatever reason, gets upset with you, he WILL start insulting you in a very Shakespearean manner. Get ready to be called, “a most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise-breaker, the owner of no one good quality”! He'll apologize in the morning, though.

Harrison, much to my own surprise, is one of my favorite muses. Not that I don’t love all my muses, but he hits in a way that I wasn’t expecting at all. He was actually a quick, snap decision muse to be added to a greater list that I wanted people to vote on. He was a half baked idea that I made up on the fly– and as I talked to people about what kind of person he was, I just fell deeper into his character. 

I think it’s because he’s so simple, so human, so very familiar; he’s like the grandfather figure I’ve never had? Or the older neighbor next door that plants tomatoes and cooks extra meals to send over to your house whenever he hears someone’s sick? He’s the kindly man in town with no children but who also manages to father the entire town? 

I never knew that I needed to write someone like that, but every time I do (which isn’t nearly as much as I would like to!), it’s always fun. He’s overly dramatic and playful, sweet and caring, so knowledgable about so much just because he’s seen so much. His heart, as well as his appetite for good food, is too large for his own good and it’s just…when I write him? I feel full of love, which may sound a little silly, but he seriously just is so, so, so good?

Harrison's love language really is acts of service but, more specifically, feeding. He is a man full of all sorts of love for family, friends, random people on the street— he's just a real loving, sweet kinda guy!

And he loves cooking for people. To him, nothing says he appreciates you like a homemade meal or a wonderfully baked treat. And he'll personalize it too! You love lemon bars and spending your afternoons at the library? Prepare yourself for literature-themed lemon bars on their own chocolate shelf. You like a good plate of mac and cheese and salsa dancing? Cue some spicy, salsa mixed mac and cheese with handmade pasta.

Nothing is too difficult or too niche for someone he cares for!

🍑 : how meticulously does my muse look after their physical appearance? do they spend a lot of time on their hair, makeup, grooming, and clothing? is there a particular reason why they do or don’t?

Harrison likes looking sharp, not so much out of vanity but because he believes clothes can change a mood and influence another’s perception of him. His clothes are always properly pressed, clean, neat. He likes crisp button-ups and fun bowties, suits with colored liners, and perfectly folded handkerchief squares in his breast pocket. 

Harrison mostly focuses on clothes though as he doesn’t have a very extensive grooming routine. It’s mostly, washes face, shave if needed, moisturize, brush hair, spritz a little cologne for good measure. He’s an older gentleman but doesn’t give into anti-aging too much. He’s got a few frizzy gray curls around his temple and wrinkles setting in but he likes to think it’s a mark of wisdom. In the end, he’s aiming to look professional for work but, of course, interesting too.
