12. Talk about a new friend you made this year

HEHE OKAY <3 I'll talk about TWO

One is YOU! I am so happy to have met you and to know you Harpy, you are so kind and give me a new perspective on the world. I love how curious and kind you are and the way you have worked to challenge yourself choose to be warm and welcoming to others. You always want to reach out a hand to others and it's just nice to know you. You're so creative and smart and I just adore you. It's great being in communities with you. I am so eager to see what things you do in the coming year.

The other is our good friend Eden who I will name drop even though it is shy. Our creative and smart and remarkable friend. It's really hard for me to find people who I can speak to about mental health so candidly and naturally without feeling like I'm in danger and someone who is eager to listen even in situations where we may disagree about something. We're always willing to see what the other is cooking. Our tastes are so similar though, so we're excited to share our interests with one another. I am so happy to have played Signalis because of him this year. I am happy he played Omori because of me (and Sky). I haven't connected with someone like I've connected with it in a long time and it's nice to know that even as you get older, there are still so many new friends to make. The world isn't lonely.

I've connected with a lot of people recently and I have such warm feelings about so many of them. I am very thankful that participating in online spaces and streaming with my partner have allowed me to see and understand so many people that I wouldn't have been able to know otherwise. 2025 was a pretty cool year for the Hopes, all things considered. I hope we can keep that momentum in the new year.
