Who was the matriarch (presumably Snowflower’s predecessor) who was mentioned in the elders’ story? Also, how common is it to have multiple matriarchs, like TC has now?
Hareclaw (Harepounce) was the previous matriarch before Snowflower! As for multiple matriarchs, it's the same as seers - ideally, there would be two most of the time, being the mentor and the apprentice, but it's not super rare for there to be stretches of time with just one of them there, until the right apprentice comes along to take up their mantle.
