My boys. Sterling is sooo much bigger. Midas is eating well and settling in, but wary. Sterling is fearless.
Damascus is loving the addition of this hide because it means that he can now glare at me with suspicion from an extra sneaky place.
The fact that the ice cream truck went right by the house right after I spoke was just honestly perfect timing.
I finally captured the tail flicking! I really want to know what it means but I can’t find much info on the topic.

What are you plotting?
Sterling (Stellagama stellio salehi) turned 2 today so I made a little video!
Common names: Painted Agama, Starred Agama, Painted Dragon, Roughtail Rock Agama. Many more! The species is being studied now, so as subspecies split into new groups, common names can become problematic for identifying a specific kind.
Sterling (Stellagama stellio salehi) - scale study shots!
(He came to me from a place where husbandry was slipping badly, so he did unfortunately come with some signs of MBD. It hasn’t gotten worse, and his lip has improved a tiny bit. The biggest sign I see is his back right leg. Look at that curve. He came this way and I think it’s just how he is now. I have the best UVB light available in there, vits and supps. Doing my absolute best for him.)
He has great energy, leaps and runs, eats and poops, so I think he’ll be okay, just a little wonky. All that aside I am insanely proud of how beautiful and healthy he is these days. Fave species, hands down.
