I feel like I shed my snakeskin in the last week of 2021. I [quite literally] left behind a demon-possessed, venomous snake that can no longer harm me. Weigh me down. "Sneak up" on me or my family. He is gone. Dead. I realize that any type of ministry or Kingdom Building subjects us to great attacks, but there are doors and portals that we can close. Ministry isn't easy. Attacks from your own blood line are one of the most difficult things in life. We grieve any death, divorce, or division. Even though any of these are good for us, we still grieve. Then God presents  us with a fresh new morning where His mercies dwell. Then, this brand-new year, filled with joy, hope and dreams that I can't even comprehend. He needed to tell me, and needs to tell you, "You can't take these old things into the new season." It's like I needed a concrete block to confirm it into my head...and hear God once again, "I am {trying} to do a NEW THING!" My prayer for all of us, though it be difficult and heartbreaking: Shed the skin. Lose any unnecessary weight so that you can travel light and get to your destination with ease. Close the doors. Forgive and make amends only if it's safe, otherwise break bread over their name and allow God to pour His Neosporin into your soul. {again} Make sure you have closed the door(s) Quit looking back. Eyes up. Chin up. Head up. Press on towards the prize of the high calling and live with zero regret. Sing a NEW song. Trust the Lord with ALL YOUR HEART. Do not get entangled again. Don't put on the old garments. Don't slip into that shed skin. Leave the dead things out of YOUR NEW ALIVE SEASON. Hang out with those that celebrate who you are and encourage you to become greater. Stop entertaining small-minded thinking. Shed that skin and put on your NEW garments! (And then stop hanging out with snakes) See comments. Happy NEW EVERYTHING!
