“I really enjoyed being in the car today. The team made it as easy as possible for me to hit the ground running and it was an excellent opportunity to gain experience, make the most of this hour and help the team gather data for the weekend. This is not an easy track, but I was able to build confidence with every run. The first run on hard tyres was good and I was able to get comfortable with the car; when I made the jump to softs I was a bit caught out at first as there was a big grip increase, but I was able to get more of a feeling for where to exploit the grip towards the end of the session. Having worked with the team in the past really helped: all in all, it was a successful day, running consistently and learning a lot.”

Just Tuning In || Attista
Band practice had been extremely rewarding so far this morning. Everyone seemed to really be getting the hang of the first few songs they’d been rehearsing in the first act. Honestly, Arista fought the urge to sing along with the songs as she played whichever instrument was necessary. At times they needed another guitar player or they needed more violin, or even she took on a bit of the
The thing was that in playing various instruments, it sort of fell upon her to make sure they were all in tune and more often than not she’d just hear things go slightly off with one instrument and decide to tune the bunch. Of course, if she was already tuning one instrument of one kind, she offered to tune the others of that same section.
So Arista now had about three guitars around her (encompassing both acoustic and electric), her violin and a cello as she sat on the stage, legs criss-crossed. (Her sax was also somewhere near her seat in the orchestra pit but that didn’t need tuning so she obviously wouldn’t have that next to her at the moment.) Everyone else had gone to lunch so she started just trying a few chords on the first guitar, brows a bit furrowed as she concentrated on the instrument in her lap.
