“maybe…” pausing, goeun purses her lips as she muses over the lamentable decisions she so often makes. really, she’s the paradigm of indifference, but with everyone’s unremitting opinions on how she should live her life, there are times when goeun can’t help but wonder what if they were right and how differently things would have turned out if she stepped out of the island. “refusing to visit my brother when he asked. this island is my safe space and i was too afraid to leave. i still am, but sometimes i wonder what the world outside has to offer.”
