with the art gallery’s doors open to the many invited wealthy art appreciators, it had finally come time for the newest exhibition to begin. soft piano music filled the building as individuals have their attention to each piece, but one of the stars of the exhibit was internally dying.
bora knew this was the opportunity of a lifetime; she never expected an art connoisseur to be interested in her work. her biggest issue was the fact that, well… she simply felt out of place there. she could see the unimpressed look in their eyes when they spoke to her. it didn’t help that her mother’s black dress was obviously not as expensive compared to the other guests’ high-end formal clothing. there was something nagging at the back of her mind: “what are you doing here?”
but right now, she had more pressing matters to deal with than fighting her own self doubt. such as… how walking in these uncomfortable heels was the second worst part of the night! “ugh, i don’t think i’m ever wearing these again…” mumbling to herself as she sits down on one of the gallery’s plush seats, bora closed her eyes with a sigh.
her small moment to zone out is interrupted by someone calling out to her, but he didn’t sound like the elegant and softer voices that were accompanying her all night. with bora’s eyes blinking back open, she looked up to the voice since she didn’t quite hear him. “h-huh?”

it feels almost comical, the more yuji thinks about it.
if she were to describe this moment to someone else, it might sound far-fetched. like she was reading off a script of a comedy show or a movie. it almost makes her want to laugh.
the dog on the missing dog poster she's seen passing by a couple of the buildings is in front of her, on a leash too, thankfully, with someone holding it. it's weird-- because these posters look relatively fresh; like they've been posted recently. did they just find the dog? and the more yuji stares, thinks back to the photo with the puppy and the blue collar around it's neck. the dog has the same one. it has to be, no?
"ah-- excuse me," yuji calls out before she can really help herself. she blames the aquarius in her, curious and unrelenting when putting her mind to something. once she's caught the man's attention, she makes a vague gesture to the dog. yuji tries not to pay too much attention to the canine, not wanting it's direction attention on her. "your dog is very cute." it's not a complete lie; the dog is very adorable. away from her and leashed. yuji's eyes flicker towards a light pole near them-- seeing the faint edges of the missing dog poster on that too. she slowly directs her attention back at the man. "i'm glad you found them."
washing machine heart. feat. @hansolbe
sua is terrible at relationships, first and foremost.
they're nice in theory. having someone else be your person? a best friend and a lover all packaged into one. it sounds nice. it sounds ideal. but sua? she can't be any of that. she can be a friend, and she can be a lover. but both? continuously and loyal to the same person?
it's hard-- she gets so bored without the chase. they play push and pull and end up in her in their bed or she ends up in theirs and then...the adrenaline dies down. the interest dwindles-- and a part of her feels bad. all those girls she strung along only to pull away once committment and responsibility began to rear it's ugly head. all those boys she flirts and sleeps with only to block their number in the morning and pretend they did her dirty and not the other way around.
actions have consequences. this is something she knows all too well. a delinquent in her childhood and a volatile heart by nature-- of course sua knows every action causes a reaction; she just never knows how to handle it when it's a reaction that upsets her.
the details of the night before are fuzzy, one drink too many affecting her mind; she went home with someone last night, a faceless man with an apartment she did the walk of shame only a few hours before. it's nothing new, especially if sua is being bothered by other failed relationships and too attached flings. naturally she finds someone else-- because it pisses the original ones off and leaves her feeling like she had the upper hand.
and she left her friends, naturally. they're big kids, adults who can make their own decisions just like sua. she gets why her friend isn't answering the door when it's probably far too earlier for either of them to be up-- but sua still pounds on the door regardless.
she might be rotten at the core, full of flaws and contradictions. ta ton of words that she'd rather put a gun in her mouth and end it all rather than be the first to admit-- but she does care about her friends and whether they get home safe. especially if they're not answering her.
when the door finally opens, sua breathes a sigh of relief, her eyes falling shut. "jesus, you took your sweet time--" the words die on her tongue, her eyes opening and stilling on the person who opens the door. it's not her friend. it's marginally worse-- because it's sol, and the sight of him here, at her friends home only spells one thing out for her. "you've got to be fucking kidding me."

here alone?
now that seira had become a trainee, she truthfully wished to quit her barista job. however she was on a probationary contract, which meant she didn’t know if she’d still be a trainee when february came around, besides that, she needed money in her pockets, a roof over her head and food on her plate, so she was forced to continue her job as a barista.
being a barista wasn’t the worst thing in the world, it was just… also not the best thing. she despised the smell of coffee and she hated the rude costumers. but there was also nice costumers, and nice coworkers, and the good mainly outweighed the bad.
the café is relatively quiet, but her eyes keep landing on the same person, he’s been here a while now, hasn’t he? the place not being too busy she decides to leave the desk, walking up to him. “you’ve been here a while, would you like me to make you another drink?” usually people would have to go up to the desk, the baristas wouldn’t walk down to the costumers, but honestly, who cares?
