Hank and Alkali are siblings and halved souls turned into the Conjoined. Hank is the main form with Alkali as the vestigial body part

the Hank is a heavy damage dealer that cant die, not as long as the Alkali is alive. the Alkali doesnt do anything but laugh and keep the Hank's chest open, and when he's destroyed, the Hank dies

Hank does not have to be alive for Alkali to moonscorch into this form, he'll fuse with Hank's corpse and cause it to mutate with him. If Alkali is dead, Hank will fuse with Alkali's corpse and die after mutating

Hank doesn't have any opinion on himself or Alkali. he only knows he just kind of exists for Alkali's sake, and Alkali exists for his sake. all he knows and remembers is them depending on eachother with Hank as the weapon and meatshield, while Alkali does all the thinking for him

Alkali cherishes Hank, but isnt so sure how he feels about himself. he knows Hank is dependent on him and he feels responsible for Hank. both responsible for him still being alive and responsible for Hank's cognitive decline and injuries. he feels bad that he always has to have Hank tank all the damage but he also feels like he has to. Hank can take it. and if Alkali was ever injured, neither of them would last much longer. he convinces himself hes doing the right thing for them both to survive and keeps a jovial attitude so Hank will believe it too
