#WeMakeYarn day 26: Fave Fiber
I don’t yet have a lot of experience with different fibers. I’ve only spun sheep wool, alpaca, angora, bamboo, and cotton. So far, I greatly prefer protein fibers. I love spinning the angora from our bunny, Sno. Just so soft! But, I would really like to be able to enjoy cotton.
Not exactly finished, but I have finished the first 3 sections! LOL
#WeMakeYarn day 24: Texture
I mostly prefer spinning worsted, so the general texture of my yarn is smooth. However, I enjoy dabbling in the architectural, or art, yarns and tweeds. I really enjoy the interesting effect crepe and cabled yarns have on knitting. So far, I haven’t been able to do much thick and thin or beehives. Bouclé is also pretty high on my list.

The WPI tools are pretty crucial to me since they help me stay consistent through projects. My favorite is definitely Rosie’s Precise Spinning Control card, but I’d love to have Hipstrings macro and micro cards!
And after I’ve used the control for a little while, I like making my own to use for the remainder of the project and include all the info about it as well as plying samples.
