Get out there I am a great admirer of Anthony Bourdain, love his gravelly voice and no-nonsense attitude. He says “If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. Rajasthan tours finished- check Diwali done and dusted, only firecracker smoke lingering A new year starts, and we are looking forward to Gujarat In January as part of a private tour for a group of Scottish Textile enthusiasts. All our tours are planned and discussed and organized but being a small group, we can be flexible and respond when something interesting takes our eye. It always feels a little like that kid’s show where they looked through the magic window and go somewhere amazing. What will we discover on our next trip? Often it is little things like a chance interaction with an artisan or family visiting a monument, one year it was wandering the back streets of Ahmedabad and seeing and later smelling all the wonderful biryanis being cooked for weddings. Last trip to Gujarat the wildlife at sunrise in the Little Rann of Kutch was so worth the early, early start And seeing the details through the eyes of a talented batik artist inspiring…. Seeing, experiencing and getting our hands dirty along the way. So much to anticipate in our wonderful vibrant India.
