Process
For this set I taped up my molds and created a resevoir with said tape and set those aside. Next I mixed up a clear resin which I divided up into 3 parts. One part I stirred in approximately 4 drops of black ink to create an opaque black, which i then set aside. With one of the remaining parts I stirres in approximately 4 drops of white ink and a small amount of the mica powder. Finally I left the remaining allotment of resin clear
From here I took a syringe and filled it with the black resin, and added a small amount, approximately 1-2ml to each mold. With an empty syringe i picked up the white resin and added white to each mold, enough to fill each about half way. I finished filling each mold with the remaining clear resin and popped the whole thing into the pressure pot to cure.
After they finished curing I demolded each die and carefully cliped away as much of the sprue and resevoir as i could. I then sanded the necessary faces using 1500 grit wetsanding paper and Zona polishing papers. I inked the numbers with piñata alcohol inks in copper.
Thoughts
I am thoroughly happy with how this set turned out. Using this technique I was able to accomplish the look I had been aiming for.

Almost done! Green I think is going to be the second hardest out of the four. I think his jacket is the best one I’ve made so far. Thank goodness for patterns.
