Part 4: After soldering, I can also add a patina to make the solder black or copper. I usually leave the solder as silver because I think that is the prettiest! ^_^ Alsoooo patina means another step of super cleaning the piece so I have got to REALLY want that color to do it ahaha XD Either way, after I do/don't do the patina I use some wax and microfiber cloth to get the piece super duper shiny! Hanging chains are then added to complete the piece!

Part 3.5: Patina time! If I want the solder lines to be black or copper instead of silver, I have to patina it. Patina can be difficult sometimes and there are LOTS of different tips/tricks for a good patina.

Part 1: After the design is decided, I print it out twice and number/letter every piece. I keep one as the template and the other I use to cut out the pieces. I add arrows to know which direction on the glass I want the piece to go. Each piece is cut out, leaving an extra sliver out for the copperfoil to wrap around. Next, I use marker to trace the pieces on my desired glass.

Then it is cutting time! Every piece of glass is different and can break differently so I have to be careful. Once I get as close as I'm comfortable with cutting, I grind the pieces to the desired shape I need.
