DUNK/BAELOR EXCHANGE EVENT COMING SOON
Thank you @the-road-betwixt for helping me set up and mod ❤️❤️❤️
More of my switch AU where the Targs are a family of poor Hedge Knights and Dunk's the heir to the Iron Throne but make it Hammerhedge. Baelor is lowkey losing his mind and stressing out about his nephew going missing on their way to this tourney. Just genuinely worried sick considering that in this world he wouldn't have the endless resources to go search for Egg or at least the assurance that no one would be stupid enough to actually harm a prince. It's almost as bad as Maekar's worrying if not worse. So when he goes to Ashford fully prepared for having to beg just about anyone to please, please help us look for the boy? Bro can't believe his eyes when he sees him happily tagging along with the CROWN PRINCE. And not only that, but the CROWN PRINCE asking them to come into his SERVICE the first time they meet.

They say the hedge knight is quiet cause he gets touched on by the royals.
I love the idea of polyglot Dunk talking to Kiera in her native tongue and that being one of the most welcoming things to happen to her since coming to Westeros!
Also, I always headcannon Dunk as knowing like the kitchen Spanish version of Essos languages because of the amount of jobs he's taken. Immigrants and hedge knights probably take a lot of the same jobs.
headcanon can be found in masterpost > akotsk masterpost > polyglot duncan headcanon
Low Valyryan (which I think is what they speak in Tyrosh?) is one of the few languages he can hold a basic conversation in but he isn't fluent in it.
Also, Dunk didn't know that Kiera spoke it at first until he heard her talking to herself a bit (probably complaining about something the Targs did at dinner) and he's like "same girl" in the same language, then they stare at each other for a minute and proceed to talkk in Low Valyryan from then on, Kiear because she's happy to finally have someone to talk to and Dunk because he likes her company and doesn't mind the occasion to better his lexicon.

"You are doing that on purpose." Maekar hisses. "It is indecent."
"Indecent," Baelor repeats incredulously, not looking at him. "I'm eating, brother. Something you often chide me to do more of. What about eating at a family dinner is indecent, precisely?"
"Well, maybe if you took your eyes off the fucking hedge knight for more than a minute."
Baelor drags his eyes to his brother's disgruntled visage.
"But I'm so enjoying his blushes, little brother." He keeps it to an undertone, popping another grape in his mouth, and watches Maekar's face scrunch the same way Egg's does when Rhae presents him with a bug.
Nonetheless, his brother has a point, and he engages Daella in conversation. Her tutor has been teaching her maths and geography via dressmaking, and she wants to know about Myr and what Westeros trades in exchange for the lace in her favourite sleeves.
It's an enjoyable conversation - his niece has a sharp mind - but the lift at the corner of his lips comes not from talk of ambassadors, wood and grain, but the darting shy glances he can feel from the pink-cheeked knight at Egg's side.
