So, the view from row 10, seat 9 at Neue Flora. Great view. The chandelier drops 2-3 rows closer to the stage, and a bit more towards the middle, if anyone's heading for that.
Also, to my big surprise, they don't use the original Hamburg proscenium. The woman doing the guided tour said this one came from Madrid (I.E. Mexico/Spain/Brazil/Argentina). And then… doesn't this mean the proscenium in use in Hamburg is the original Toronto one?!? I think it does. The garlands on top are different, but otherwise it match, and someone in the Brazilian production said what they used were from Toronto. So, if this is correct… this is a piece of history moving from one iconic production to another!
Ironically they had the original Hamburg Golden Angel hanging at side stage (backstage). "For good luck". :)
The chandelier is not the original Hamburg one either. They didn't know where it came from (the ones I asked, I mean). Because of the curved top of the lyre my guess is Switzerland, AKA the one that had a brief appearance in Copenhagen. But I need to look closer into it.
